This scene breaks my heart.
Although, I really wish they would have kept the storyline with Anthony Padua (The client that supposedly was either killed or committed suicide, which led to Wes leaving his job at the firm to become a cop). I think the parallels would be absolutely wonderful. Wes doesn’t want to lose someone again. He doesn’t want to see Travis lose his career or, worse, his life. And the storyline of Wes being the cause of someone’s death vs Wes saving a life would have been wonderful. I think it would have shown why Wes is so desperate in this scene to make sure Travis doesn’t get himself killed despite not knowing Travis for very long.
My theories for the Season Finale:
- Someone kills Travis’ friend
- After running into some problems, Wes and Travis track them down and arrest them.
- However, a jury finds the killer not guilty (or a mis-trial)
- Travis gets pissed off and he and Wes fight
- Travis then threatens to kill (or gets an opportunity to kill) the killer
- Wes pulls his gun on Travis to stop him from killing the killer.
OR
- Someone kills Travis’ friend
- After running into some problems, Wes and Travis track them down and arrest them.
- Only to find that the person is either not guilty or covering for someone
- Travis goes after them, accidentally killing them (or greatly wounding them) in the process.
- Wes and Travis fight. Wes tells Travis he’s out of control.
- Travis and Wes find out who the killer is OR they find out the killer is another cop
- Wes pulls a gun on Travis to stop him from going after them OR if the killer is another cop, Wes thinks Travis is the killer and when Wes pulls his gun, Travis thinks Wes is the killer.
1. I kind of ship EmmaxWes. Maybe it’s because I chronically wear shipper goggles, but I wouldn’t mind if this happened. (I wouldn’t mind if TravisxWes happened either, but I think we all know that isn’t going to happen. Sorry, folks.)
2. I really, really, really love Wes. I love Travis too and he was my favorite for the majority but there’s just something about Wes. Like, he’s trying so hard to be awesome but still is like a puppy dog who just keeps tripping all over the place. Plus, HE CLEANS AND HE COOKS. I don’t know any men that clean and cook. Wes is Best Detective. LOL
3. I feel really bad for the Captain. I mean, they only hinted at problems with his wife, but then they never mentioned it again. It’s sad. ;-;
4. Wes and my feelings about Emma’s fiance were the exact same.
5. Wes’ voice and shaking hands in the Season Finale preview when he threatens to shoot Travis is too much feels. I don’t know if i’m ready. ;-;
6. I am clearly a Wes fangirl. I regret nothing.

After twenty minutes of fiddling and downloading new software, say hello to a new alarm, Common Law fans. Get up get up get u~uuup
If I didn’t own a really cheap, really old phone with no way of recording this, I would totally have this as one of my alarm clocks.

Don’t reblog. Take a screen shot and make a new post. Then tag it with your fandoms so other people can see it.
I just seen Wes/Molly from Common Law/Sherlock post. I ship it so hard, I literally fell out of my chair just thinking about it.
